Who We Are
No Wake Outfitters is the premiere outdoors outfitters in Southeast Louisiana. No Wake Outfitters is owned and staffed by anglers and hunters who grew up on the Louisiana waterways. We are located just outside of New Orleans in Metairie, Louisiana on historic Airline Drive. Our store has over 3,000 square feet showcasing the best brands of outdoor equipment, gear and apparel for fishing,
kayaking and hunting.
FULL-SERVICE FLYSHOP
We are a local full-service fly shop with world-wide experience. Our experts have several years of fly-fishing experience in waters all across the U.S. We even have guests come lecture in our classroom about fly-fishing around the world!
Come in, hang out in our lounge area and talk with our expert staff. They are always willing to share information about the local waterways of Louisiana and show you the best set-up for the fly-fishing experience of a lifetime.
They can even give you information and gear for trips around the country and world. Come see our extensive supply of fly rods and reels, flies tied by local fly tyers and others from around the country. We even have all the fly-tying supplies and equipment you need to tie your own flies. We host regular fly-tying classes and provide fly casting lessons on our casting pond here at the store! We carry equipment from Winston Rods, TFO, Orvis, Lamson, Bauer, Umpqua, Harleline, Enrico Puglisi, Scientific Angler, Cortland, and more.
KAYAK SALES & SERVICE
Whether it's inshore, in the Louisiana swamps, ponds, marshes, lakes and bayous, or offshore in the bays leading to the Gulf of Mexico, No Wake Outfitters has the kayak you need to experience the stunning waterscapes of The Sportsman’s
Paradise.
We sell kayaks from Old Town, Nucanoe, and NRS, and we repair and service all makes and models here in our store. We sell and install all the rigging you need from Yak Attack, Rail Blaza, Yak Gear, Yak Gadget, Wener, and others. We can even store your kayak securely at our facility on Airline Drive. Not sure what you need or want, our staff has extensive experience and knowledge to help you make the right choice. We have a pool at the store, so you can try before you buy. You can even take a kayak out for a day or attend one of our on-water demonstration events. Whatever decision you make, it will be well-informed.
RODS & REELS
No Wake Outfitters has all the equipment and tackle you need, if you fish with a conventional rod and reel. We have rods from Zook and Daiwa, as well as a large selection of Daiwa reels. We carry tackle and lures from local lure makers and manufacturers; so, you know you will be fishing with what works best in the Louisiana bayous and bays. We carry lures and tackle from 4 Horsemen, Ghost Minnow, Tail Chaser, and many more.
OUTFITTERS
Our staff at No Wake Outfitters are expert outfitters, who will outfit you for any outdoor experience - whether kayaking, fishing, or hunting. We carry gear from Orvis, Duck Camp, Grunden’s, Fender Pointe, and Bajio. Our outfitters will keep you prepared, protected, and comfortable. Heck, they will even keep you stylish!
